I have purchased three Dell Minis so far (from Australian retail stocks) and quickly swapped the RAM for 2GB sticks. All three were from the same delivery batch but different models of RAM were supplied;
Not a big deal but I am curious to find out what brand/model of RAM others have discovered when upgrading or just opening the hatch for a look... |

Thanks guys, seems as though all the US stock is similar so far for RAM but haven't seen the HYNIX in Australia yet... I have also noticed differences in the Australian batteries - two distinct finishes in terms of the plastic, one more shiny and the other more "flat" often with a noticable diagonal scratch on the upper right visible portion when viewing from a user position. Note also that in Australia we currently (before October 16) only have one model and one colour option that is why I found it interesting that what I assumed would have been one batch seems to have been manufactured using different parts. |

Hi, I am from Germany and my mini also contained the same Hynix 1GB stripe. I replaced it by a Kingston KVR667D2S5/2G (2 GB PC2 - 5300 CL5), which works fine. CU, LLSmurf |

I also have the Hynix 1Gb chip and I am in the US as well. |
