All of those except the last one (DDR3) are fine. Pick whichever is cheapest.

This is a great bit of advice. Never, ever, go on a forum saying how long your hard drive has lasted. I clocked on the next day and got the dreaded "Cannot find O/S". Oh well.. I'm in Thailand and asked my friend in Japan to post a 16Gb one to me, (only 4 days), and now I've got my 16 Runcore in there, instead of the 8Gb. Of course everything was backed up, yeh right!.....Doh!

Holmes4, I ended up getting one of the ram's that I mentioned earlier in my post, and like most of the people said, I didn't see that much of a change in processing. I think its better though for the windows 7 OS that I'm using. Also, a weird thing happened, I was initially using xp with the 2gb new ram that I got, and xp kept having issues with it. An error message would always pop up when I booted (hence I switched to w7).

Eugene, sorry to hear that your ssd didn't make it. I still don't get why they crash so much though. Could it be because of how tiny they are made to be, or because their lifespan isn't meant to very long. I guess that's a debate by itself.

Thanks,
fireangel

May I ask where did you purchase the ssd? I myself will be buying one soon. This thread got me spooked!

Hi escotric, I got my ssd from amazon actually. Amazon seems to have some nice ssd's available.
