I believe he's referring to the ThinkLight. Its' an led light mounted in the display bezel that illuminates the keyboard when lit. Reminds me of one of those overhead light above an airplane seat.

Yeah, but having the screen tilted down to light up the keyboard usually makes it unviewable.. I get tired of tilting back and forth.
This is one of those times I envy the netbooks that have opaque white keys on their keyboard. Those are just BEGGING for an EL sheet to be installed under the keys (remove all the keys, cut holes in the sheet to clear each key, and it'd backlight very nicely).. Alas, we don't have one of those keyboards. If you backlit our keys, it'd be even harder to see which key is which. I've considered the light from above as well, but I wanted to use UV LED's.. But our keys aren't UV reactive.
