Question Please recommend replacement battery (4 cell, not 8) - 06-27-2010, 06:07 PM

My Mini 9 is going strong after 18 months, but the battery time is slipping under 3 hours. I'd like to purchase a replacement battery, without changing the form factor. Yes, I know that 8 cells is better, but I like the Mini 9's size and weight as they are.

Is there a 4 cell replacement that is known to work reliably with the Mini 9 (i.e., doesn't need a BIOS regression)? Thanks for your advice.

On ebay search dell mini 9 or insprion 910 OEM battery. If you are sticking with the 4 cell get a OEM battery not a third party battery. I still use the 4 cell ive had forever and i get almost 4 hours of use from it. Don't really see the need to upgrade to 8 cell myself. But keep in mind that 4 cell and 8 cell batterys are the same price. A oem 4cell can sometimes cost more even.
