my new battery is here, ordered 12/29, delivered 01/05

bench - max stress load test - minimun discharge time 6:37 (5:41 max bright) - normal 120-130%


as you can see, the battery is actually 84Wh, runing at 11.1v we get 7600mAh capacity. mayse is made with a 2x4 set of 1900mAh cells.

the battery is still charging. was on 44%, now is 57% before 30 minutes when it reachs the 100% i will run an exhaust test to compare to the other batteries

actually the "offset" makes the mini more wrist friendly, more ergonomic

the battery fits pretty nice, not loose at all.

haha.. Man, I bet that Eee battery weighs more than the machine! heh.. This Mini9 battery does look a lot better than I had feared it might. Would be great for a marathon session at Starbucks.. It really is good news that the battery knows what size it is. I look forward to hearing how long it lasts.. Try to stream some video over a network the whole time to give it a full load. Hulu movie or something should do the trick nicely.

i'm runnig right now the battery eater test, and it says an estimate total time of 7:30, where the dell battery stand for 3:00. but is too soon to say nothing "official" yet


but, when the battery was charging, it "jumped" from 60 to 100%, and it keep the leds flashing all time when the battery is unpluged :?

the bench software is Battery Eater '05 Pro 2.70, runing the Classic Test, consisting in a full system load -cpu, gpu, ssd- beginning at 100% battery power and finishing when the mini turn off by itself.
