I saw on ebay 2 differents battery with 77Wh but one is the same as you got and the other fit just like the default one, without extra space needed like yours. Do you know what's the deal ? Seems to be the same spec.. :ugeek:

i think is the same, is just the picture doesn't show the back of the battery.

anyway, if that so, is a fake you need the extra space to place the other cells. there's no way to get 77Wh (84!) just with 4 cells jeje

As I believe, the 2nd one is "fitted" to the dell mini better. I think the first one only looks like an OEM size, but is actully square like the first onehttp://mydellmini.com/forum/bigger-b...4wh-t1475.html of these batteries that popped up on the forums. That was dismissed as not allowing the screen to open fully. This new one from Power_feng looks like someone at least though about the design, rather than just stuffing extra cells into a square plastic housing...

why does powerfeng has two different pricing for same battery? both are free shipping and 12 month warranty... hmm

$67.99 http://cgi.ebay.com/77WH-Battery-Dell-M ... 1|294%3A50

I think they were meant to be specialized to a specific country.. Best guess.. And for some reason, eEbay is just showing us all of them instead.. Just buy the cheapest one.. heh..

I purchased a battery from Battery1 Inc located near Los Angeles, CA.
http://battery1inc.com/replacementde...ah6-cells.aspx
It's appears to be the same battery shown above.
Guy on the phone confirms it is an 8 cell battery.
Arrived within 1 day ... but ...
After connecting it and turning on the computer I get
The battery cannot be identified ... The computer will not charge it. etc Press F1 to cont
They are sending me a replacement which I should receive tommorow. I will follow up then.

same thing with mine, and then the lights flashing all times. but in my experience, is not bad, nothing wrong, i can use the mini without any trouble at all. the only thing is that i need to reboot with the adapter plugged to be able to charge the battery, but now, once a day, it doesn't matter

let's see your replacement, if it is ok, maybe i will contact my seller to ask for a replacement too

The lights flash alternately, constantly. When running on power, the computer will not charge it and does not recognize it.

I received the replacement battery and the computer recognizes and charges it. The only problem is that when running on the battery, the lights flash alternately, continuously - which is a little annoying! The light also flash when the computer is in standby.
Here are some pics of the battery stats.
