There's a new BIOS for the Mini listed on Dell's site.... Well, actually it's the same version (Build Date: 01/05/2009), but it's got a release date of 2/8/2009. The difference from the previous version is interesting:
Install instruction: ========================================= Step1:Make sure AC installed and battery capacity over 10%. Step2:copy those file into bootable usb key. Step3:Boot to Dos, type 910A04.bat

pickles, with perhaps a few isolated exceptions, the people who bricked their Mini while using the Windows BIOS updater tried everything they could to turn their computer off during the update. Other than being impatient, it's not entirely their fault, since Dell's instructions state that after launching the utility, you have to click a button to start it. This button is clearly visible when you launch the program. Unfortunately, (without telling anybody) the program starts the update as soon as you launch it, causing your computer to look like it froze, since even the mouse doesn't work. Attempting to recover from the apparent freeze is what ended up bricking their Mini.
Personally, I updated the BIOS using the Windows utility just fine, before I even knew there was any other way to do it.

Some weeks ago I bricked my Mini Dell 910 (caused by the windows upgrade software) and you know what ? I'm happy !
The 'Day After' they changed my motherboard by a new buggy one. And finally after many calls and remote assistance, I got new one with the Dell Wireless 5530 pcie card !!!!!
So, I installed the GPS drivers annd now everything is running fine !
Today I discovered the new release for the A04 bios and DOS upgrade worked fine.
My Dell Mini : 910 AZERTY, 16GB SSD, 1GM, Webcam, Bluetooth, Wifi, and Dell 5530 3G card.

Wife's Mini: 1GB Memory, 16GB SSD, 1.3M WebCam, BT, WinXP Home
I flashed both machines using the Windows utility and observed the start flashing without confirmation behavior as well as the non-responsive during flash process. However, both systems flashed fine. I rebooted them, reset the Bios settings to default, and they both work great.
Video Memory Available 8 - 128MB
Screen Resolution no longer changes during bootup
Sleep and Hibernation problems are gone
