Default Question about Runcore IV specs - 06-11-2010, 08:59 PM

So I put in the older Runcore 64GB inside my Mini 9 not to long ago, but it seems to get really hot. It starts to crackle with the sound and jerk with the video when put to heavy use. The heat gets scary hot on the keyboard and underside. I do have a usb fan and it only helps keep it cool to an extent. I noticed there is a newer Runcore IV for the Mini 9. I read the specs and it says that it is faster and cooler then the older models. My question is how much cooler and faster does the newer IV model get compared to the older one? Is there a noticeable difference and is it worth the $229 upgrade?

I've got a 32GB Runcore IV T-Style in my Mini 9. It's great. Super fast and doesn't get too hot. I would have no trouble recommending this upgrade to anyone.
