Question RunCore 64GB Pro IV Light 50MM PCI-e SSD or "T" style??? - 04-28-2010, 06:59 PM

I am looking at the RunCore 64GB Pro IV Light 50MM PCI-e SSD trying to choose between it and the "T" style - noting the differences........the only differences I see are in the Write/Read Max and the random 4K read/write rate - since they are suppose to be the same model - why are the speeds so different? the price is the same.........warranty is the same - so why is the write/read so much different?? Please help me decided which one I should purchase........
TIA
Bruce

ps - thought someone from "MY DIGITAL DISCOUNT" would have at least would had commented with a suggestion - are they out to lunch??

pps - I had posted this last week under the "MY DIGITAL DISCOUNT" - but NO ONE did a reply - so I am posting it under the Mini 9 Hardware Upgrade to see if "THEY" are reading here........

I don't know why you say "they are suppose to be the same model".

The T-style, which is no longer listed on MDD's web site, though one can find links to it (and they say out of stock) was the second generation of SSD cards for the Mini 9. The Pro IV is newer and seems to be the fastest by a bit. In a given generation, the ability to use more, lower-density chips usually improves performance.

sorry - I basically said same model since they are both the "RUNCORE PRO IV SSD" - one is in the "T" design....and the other the normal small one.......so yes there are some "ELECTRONIC DIFFERENCES" - but they are both the PRO IV SSD............
