Hi

I need to replace the screen after the cat knocked my Mini 9 to the floor,

on Ebay I see screens from $28 to $50

What is the differance ?

Is there any other 9 inch screens that will interchange, maybe from dvd player or ??????

Just trying to get it working and "cheap is good"

thanks for your ideas

personally anytime you get something off ebay you are taking a chance, I would only buy from Dell, first of all I KNOW it will work correctly, and second it comes with a warranty....but thats me & my money...to me it really doesnt matter about the cost but the fact that I get the right part and the peace of mind that it will work when I get it and if it fails in 3 weeks or whatever I will have some support/replacement options..I didnt skimp when I bought my Mini and I wouldnt skimp on fixing it either (luckily works perfectly)....just my 0.02...

I bought one of these when my daughter broke my screen.

Dell 910 mini 9 LCD Screen 8.9" Laptop Display Panel - eBay (item 140334848683 end time Apr-17-10 20:57:34 PDT)

It came in pretty quickly, and it was brand new and worked perfectly. There was no dead pixel or anything.

When I bought it, it was $38.24, and I used Bing Cashback to knock additional 8% off.

If you do some poking around on the boards you'll bring up the various touchscreen install threads.
Looks like it's pretty useful as I see it becoming an option on more and more machines nowadays.
