Wow! Cool.

BTW, you needn't use an external usb connector for the touchscreen. The internal webcam connector is also usb. There is an older thread giving the color code of the wires.

I actually went about this just diving into it, not doing alot of research, I figured the webcam connector was an internal USB and original tried that first, but my soldering was bad and kinda yeaaah. atleast, however I got it working. I'll update more when I figure out what to do.

NICE!!! way to go man... i think i read a post where you can install a usb hub using the WWAN connections and then you can route your touch screen to it, saves you sacrificing one of your external ports...
