I need to correct my earlier comment. If you don't connect the third antenna to the Intel 5300, you will find Wireless N connections very poor. (G seems ok.)

I and some others have had good luck with the Intel cards, but others have not. I have no explanation for that.

There is the Intel 5100 as an option also which doesn't require a third antenna. I put the 5300 in my mini with third antenna mod (it says its using all three even with a G network) and the 5100 in my wifes mini. Now Im just waiting on my wireless n router to get here so I can test them out and see what difference if any there will be.

I was able to get the card working today (in XP) after installing a bunch of different drivers, then uninstalling all the ones that did not work supposedly, even though none of them worked...? :?: :?:

WEIRD to say the least.

so this card working fine w/ the mini.

Hopefully i will get it working w/ Backtrack 3 soon

works perfectly w/ backtrack through my usb drive.
i haven't tested packet injection or set it into monitor mode yet, but soon enough .
Wireless extensions recognized n everything on bootup, no need to compile.
