I bought a Thermal PAD (notice singular) cause i wanted to replace the ones I had (had opened it 3 times already and never replaced) because the system was running hot
I paid 2$ for the thermal pad part number, and received it..
and in that BIG dell box (as big as the one the damn mini came in) was 1.... *1* thermal pad.
I thought all 3 would be sold together...
So i opened it up, placed that new one on the CPU, and removed the old one, and covered more of the GPU with that "extra" one.. and then pressed em all really hard, trying not to split the MB.
The coretemp software says its running around 70, but didnt really use this before, but the chipset temp is much lower and doesnt feel like its HOT anymore, just warm - reading usually around upper 40s instead of upper 50's and low 60s like before. next time i need something ill be sure to buy 4-5 and replace em all plus an extra for the GPU, since its larger
