Thanks! I'm gonna try Tom's GPS mod this way and report back. Also, on neg2led's suggestion I'm going to try to incorporate dimming control for the LED.

Coo and nifty! Got me intrigued. Does the controller control more than one output? I wonder whether I could have 2 dimmable LEDs or 1 LED and a switch for the touchscreen USB power -- with its connected other peripherals it drains the battery and I would love to be able to turn them off.

If that's possible: Would you program an ATTiny13 as needed and ship it to Germany? For how much? Paypal?

Very nice mod! Small but helpful quirks like that keep my loyal to ThinkPads!

i am a fan of the think pads too. i have 5 of them.

on my mini i use one like this...
