| Senior Member Posts: 422 Join Date: Nov 2008 Location: Colorado Springs, CO | The pin-outs are similar if not the same, but the form factor is not the same. We can't fit the EEE's drives in the spot available. Also, the EEE drives have the slave USB port, which our motherboards can't handle. |

| Guru Posts: 1,744 Join Date: Sep 2008 Location: Olalla, WA | The reason many people have thought that the EEE uses a Sata SSD is because someone makes a card that goes into the EEE's SSD slot and has some kind of SATA connector on it. I guess it's always possible it's got a SATA to PATA converter chip on it like the RunCore drives do. The RunCore drive on the Mini9 is internally SATA, with a JMicro SATA to PATA converter chip on the card. |
