Is it possible to buy a Mini 9 3G slot and just solder it into the slot that the Vostro A90 has or is the connector just not there?

Yes, it's possible, but you also need to buy and solder the SIM card socket as well. Search for WWAN and Mini 9, someone here did it several months ago.

So according to one post that didn't really have any instructions, just pictures, since the A90 didn't have a WWAN option at all, I'm guessing that I have no 3G antenna's either?

Also, might I be losing valuable space by installing a 3G card, when I could use that space for other hacks? I plan to put a GPS and Fingerprint Scanner into it eventually.

Correct - no antenna either. You may find a USB 3G adapter to be a simpler solution.
