i scrolled though the demo video of the capacitance touch screen on page 1, at any stage did he use more than 1 finger to demonstrate that it was multitouch? did he use a stylus to demonstrate that it was a capacitance touch screen?
From the company in that video: Stantum, Unlimited Multitouch - Slate PC It's a modified Dell Mini 1010. Looks really sexy.

I'm now working on making a Mini 9 Tablet for my nephew and have recieved his capacitive touch screen. Does anyone know and want to share where the usb wiring is on the touch screen control board. The output plug looks like its for 5 pin so I got kinda of confused..

A quick diagram of the pinout would be great, otherwise I'll post a scan of my board and you guys can just quickly mspaint the image showing Power, Data +, Data -, and ground.

Thanks for your help.

Heres a horrible quality picture, sorry no scanner back home currently...

The black is the Capacitive Screen in, does anyone know what the white input is on the left, or where I can get that wire? There are also what look 4-5 metal ring on the top (in the picture). They are likely the usb out, hmm I know some of you know, so that would be awesome if you could help me and my nephew out. Thanks!

WOW, I haven't been here in what feels like AGES!!

In response to your problem, if its the 3M Capacitive touch panel from onlinecomponents.com I'd sent everyone the link to, the connection pinout is:

+5v dc
Data -
Data +
Ground 0v
Cable/ Shield/ Shell

check the link here:
http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3...II-Controller/

the one that comes with it is the "3M MicroTouchâ„¢ EX II USB HID Controller Reference Guide"... take a peep, has all the specs

hey guys just a heads up they got 19 more in stock at Online components (well 18 i just ordered mine) i have been waiting since june for these to come in stock. so if you want one i would grab it fast because it looks like a 2-3 month wait when they run out.

https://www.onlinecomponents.com/buy...8-0003-3109-4/

cant wait to get this in, im still debating on making this a full tablet or just adding the touch screen to the normal net book style.

Just got my donor Mini9 today so in the not too distant future should get down to a tablet conversion using my 3M capacitive overlay.

If its successful then, as I had to buy two overlays (due to the $100 minimum order for overseas shipping) then I'll have one for sale in the UK - price to reflect the shipping and tax I had to pay to get it over. Not looking for a profit here, just recoup costs.

Cheers all
