Projective Capacitive Touch Screens

8.9 coming soon for only ... 250$ =[

You can also google search "pixcir 8.9" but I believe those are built into devices. I bet we will have capacitive touch solutions soon because of windows 7

Wow the one for $240 is impressive with 2 point capability but at that price I think I will pass.

Yowch.
I'm interested, but at that price I'll simply get it on my next machine.

I found 2 online man after like 19 hours of searching online, and they were cheap just like gowtham said... I paid like $50 each.. but most suppliers are outta stock.. AND integrating the capacitive is harder than the resistive film, for one thing its a hella thick panel of glass - like 2mm!!!

I was trying out a slider design but the glass thickness wouldnt allow it cuz of the extra weight.. but i haven't given up on my slider idea just yet...

Kudos to you Atan3 you have better Googling skills than me! Can you let us know the 3M part numbers you used?

Cheers

Yup, that's the result of oreos and loads of chai lattes...

The 3M part number is 98-0003-3109-4..

Apparently the line that Gowtham got was renamed by 3M afterwards hence all the dead leads!

The only company I found that has the ONLY remaining 30 stock is Onlinecomponents.com for like $50.24 each excluding shipping...

I dealt with a guy Named Eddie, he was really cool... Just go to the website and search the part number exactly, it comes with a 4inch flex tail and USB/HID controller and the platform drivers are available on 3M's website!

Newb question here: So what is the difference between regular touchscreen and the capacitive?
