You lucked out, that might have been a waste of time. There is only enough wire if your LCD is flipped like mine. Did you flip yours? You have any pics up yet? Would like to see your setup.

Thats what I did first, OSX just wasn't very finger friendly, nor was the accelerometer or GPS recognized in the OS. It just made sense to use W7 for its wider range of compatibility with hardware.

That is an incredible mod! How did you go about creating the case for the screen? I assume you simply cut out the back of the mini 9 screen case, but I figure I ask.

The above link was my original build for the Mini9. You are correct, in that all I did was reverse the LCD, and cut out the back.

""Project C" I decided to use the the original lid, and cut a hole in it. Reversed the LCD, and voila! Looks pretty damn good. Still have some edge cleaning to do for the inner bezel, but not much. Thank God for the Dremel, and my serious mathematical skillz. The LCD is offset by about 3mm (at least for my panel it was) So the hole is not exactly centered according to the lid, it is centered to the placement of the LCD. The routing of the vga cable was not easy, but doable. I will probably modify the original silver palmrest to fill the gap between the lid and the body."

ActionXL - Products Page - I used the wired controller from here. I think they used to be available at Fry's, but that was over a year ago. ActionXL is actually a great company.

What touchscreen were you thinking of getting for the 10?

Looking at FidoHub, they have 10.1 and 10.2, I'll have to measure the actual size of the LCD panel and maybe see if FidoHub can get me some measurements of the actual panels as I'll be flipping the panel in the lid.
I got a couple crazy ideas for this, may come out pretty cool, or a junked Mini lol.

Hi. First off, great thread, I am replicating your mod with some variation. I followed your guide as far as the accelerometer goes, and it works great for rotating the screen.

Since I am still waiting for my touch screen; I am using the accelerometer on my un-modded vostro, in which I still use the touch pad.

I have ran earlier versions of iRotate when using my vostro as an E-book, however; the mouse rotation is not syncing in Windows 7 with the accelerometer. Any ideas?

On a side note: in my modding of my mini, when I use the standard shell of the mini, it sits a little high on the hinges, have you ever considered a whole puncher to take a little plastic off of the top shell so it sits a little lower? Just a thought.
