Default Mini PCI-e to SATA II Adapter? - 10-17-2009, 12:13 PM

Within a few weeks, on my desktop computer, I am going to load W7 on an 80 GB SSD and use a conventional HDD for my data. I want to first test this configuration on a spare desktop computer using the 16 GB SSD I removed from my Vostro (I upgraded to a 32 GB SSD). Problem is, the "old" 16 GB SSD has a Mini PCI-e interface. Is there an adapter so it can be used as a SATA II drive?

A Mini PCI-e to USB adapter will not work as I want it to directly interface with one of the SATA II ports on the spare computer motherboard.

No, because the SSD is PATA. The card isn't a "true" MiniPCIe, it just uses that socket.
