The connectors were cheap so I ordered a couple of different ones thinking one might fit better than the other, the part numbers were 538-67910-0001 and 656-MM60-52B1-B1-R. I'm not sure which ended up being fitted but they both looked pretty much the same.
@ Fanfoot - next up is installing my 64G drive from MDD. Ordered it ages ago and been told it will ship on Monday so I should get it Wednesday or Thursday next week, hopefully there are no more delays from RunCore! Then I will be working on installing a triple boot XP, Vista and Mac OS configuration on it
(I need to support those 3 OS's for one of my jobs)
So far dual booting Mac OS and XP but having to have the Mac OS installed on a USB drive which is a bit slower. I figure if I could install the GUID partition table and a bootloader on a tiny USB key and run the bootloader off there that would allow me to have the MBR on the SSD
and the GUID on the USB and I could switch bootloaders by choosing the correct boot device from the BIOS. Then I could have all the OS's installed on the drive and have the bootloader point to those. I'm not sure if that would work or not but it sounded good in my head
Thats why I want to have an internal USB so I won't lose it if that does actually work. Otherwise a larger capacity key with the whole OS X installation on it mounted internally and just change the boot device to switch between the Windows or Mac operating systems.
