The mod is not finished yet but I am wondering if you heard about similar mod with a dell mini 9. Do you think it is possible? If no, why not? About removing the keyboard, how to do without it? Is there any application to manage it or do I just need to plug a USB keyboard or a BT one? Thank you gakusei21 |

The easiset tablet mod I have ever seen was done over on eeeuser- they literally flipped the lcd (NOT the bezel, JUST the LCD) and cut out the lid to fit. It turned out pretty nice for the very little work involved, and it left a lot of room for the touchscreen. EeeUser Forum / my own tablet mod, not finished yet |

I installed Win7, which has great touchscreen support, an OSD, and if I need it, I plug in a USB keyboard/touchpad combo. It's not quite finished yet as the edges haven't been filled in and I'm still trying to decide how I want to vent it (maybe install an internal fan?). I can upload pics once I return home. So... what I did was remove the lid, flip it around, and glue it to the keyboard bezel. I took the trackpad guts out and trimmed the hinges off the lid. Now I just need to finish relocating the power button (i made the wires too short in the beginning), make covers for the empty spaces where the hinges were, and fill in the gaps between the lid and the screen bezel. I'll get pics up tomorrow when I return home. Vostro A90 | Win7 RC | 1 GB RAM | 16 GB STEC | BT | 0.3 MP | WiFi | Tablet Conversion |
