Default mini 9 wifi card - 08-07-2009, 07:52 AM

I thought the mini 9 used an atheros card and the broadcom was used in the 10, for it's 802.11n capabilities, the atheros one being only g. broadcom's lack of open source drivers leads to me (luckily i have one handy) swap it for an atheros card.

Strange. it's just a bcm4312 .11b/g

oh well, after i try the atheros one in there, i guess this one will be up for grabs to whoever wants to pay for shipping.

Nope - stock Mini9 card is a Broadcom.

Stick to the Broadcom if you can. I tested it against intel 5100, Atheros AR5006EG and 5007EG and the Broadcom uses way less power.
