The latest editions of the cheapest dongle don't seem to work with OS X from what I've read there. But the 4 dollar-ish ones do. The comments postings on the same page as the item description list say that. I also have an older one of the really cheap dongles, both work for me with 10.5.8. I should say that the dongles only seem to work on my 10v if they are plugged in at boot time, not if they are plugged in once OS X is booted.
