Default Internal USB flash on fully-loaded Mini 9? - 07-13-2009, 08:34 PM

I've just bought a fully-loaded Mini 9 (SSD+RAM+WLAN+WWAN+Bluetooth). The plan is to dump the XP install straightaway and put Ubuntu on it. Since Linux can quite happily merge the discs with LVM I'm wondering about whether I can squeeze in a USB flash disc in there instead of buying a Runcore (which is quite a bit more expensive).

Now, having had a look in the back it's very tight due to the lack of an empty WWAN slot. There might be enough space under the lips of the back cover for a very small USB flash stick with the USB connector removed... anyone recommend a model that's internally small, fast, available to buy and not too expensive (I'm in the UK)?

If Bluetooth is fitted, is there still space under the handrests or is that too full? And are there any spare USB channels, or must I fit a USB hub too? I've read quite a few threads about USB signals or lack of them on the FLASH_CON, WLAN and WWAN, but all those sockets are occupied so I'd need a channel that was still spare.
