I added a 16GB SDHC (from $46) and ordered 2GB RAM (from Crucial $40)
Mine also started to do this. I reinstalled the video driver and it fixed it. However, the icons repositioning is still a problem.

I have two Dell Minis, one for my wife and one for myself. I didn't notice this problem when we first received them (that doesn't mean they didn't do it), and since then I have removed the bloated version of windows home and installed a nlite'd version of Win XP Pro. I don't have a problem of repositioning icons or resolution dropping.
So, it could possibly be the windows XP home version they pre loaded, or possibly the order the drivers they are installed in.

Mine kept doing this where I had to reset the resolution too. I noticed the language bar kept coming back non stop too. When I stopped closing the language bar the resolution would come back to how I wanted it, not the 800/600 that it kept reverting to.

Let me know if that didn't make sense.

As suggested, I reinstalled the video driver and the resolution is no longer resetting to 800x600. I had also turned off the language bar, so the problem may be related to that. Very cool to have that annoyance fixed

Great little PC, especially since I bumped the RAM up to 2GB. Definitely worth the $40.

does anyone know how to make a startup path to the Intel graphics options themes? In other words at startup, a theme(1024x600) would load. kind of a hillbilly fix but really, I' m bettin Intel can't fix this or won't for a while.

Wierd, I have not had this problem with OSX installed, but now that I have XP on one SSD, it makes it kind of hard to browse. Constantly sliding back and forth. grrrr

melzbelz did you install the driver found on the supplied driver cd or from the dell website?

Did this fix the icons rearranging everytime you turn on the mini?

My Dell used to always change resolution to the 1024 X 600(for the first few days). Now it just does it now and then. I never know when or why. I was very annoyed to hve to manually reset this. I downloaded a FREE program from called AutoHotkey and recorded the mouse and keystrokes to make the change. I saved the program on my desktop. Now when I start up my Dell Mini, if the resolution is wrong I just click the program icon and it is quickly fixed. It is less annoying.
