mini 9 with 16gb, 2gb ram, 8gb sd card.
i had a issue with reloading windows xp, it couldnt find something, did internet research and seemed to be a known issue with xp and the hardware on mini's? (this could be incorrect-was some time ago).
so i loaded vist full off of my wifes cd....worked great, loved it. decided to try and buy a key- had some issue with that including talking to dell who told me to just buy vist cd. Didnt feel like dropping $200 on a $500 dollar laptop. So i tried to reload win xp and it worked. Got all my software on and went to do a registry defrag. (this may have been a mistake - maybe someone knows why?), when it kicked out the os to do the defrag everything hung. Now i can get into my bios, but the system just says "os not found."
I've tried about everything. I tried reloading vista but it see's all the other stuff and won't allow it to load or format for lack of space. My first time loading vista i could get into the opperating system and clear enuff space that vista would load up on install.
Any thoughts on what went wrong?
Im currently waiting on a copy of vista and a 32gb runcore for it.
