Default Thermal Pad + audio static - 05-10-2009, 12:42 PM

I noticed when I watch hulu and the mini heats up I get a lot of static on the sound. But when I press up on the bottom of the case it ceases. So I'm thinking my thermal pad isn't installed correctly. Anyone have the link the to mini assembly instructions? Want to tear her apart and make sure the are installed right.

Pressing on the bottom of the case is unlikely to have any effect on the thermal pads, which are between the top of the circuit board and the metal "palmrest" panel. I can't imagine how the pads would affect sound. All I can think of is that you have a bad solder joint or some such where putting any stress on the circuit board changes the connection.
