Something to keep in mind for anyone thinking of upgrading their Mini to Ubuntu 9.04 at this time.

Insert an SD Card then run dmesg in a terminal.

If you get this error mmc0: error -84 whilst initialising SD card

The fix is at http://filthypants.blogspot.com/2009...e-on-acer.html

Don't let the fact it's for an Acer fool you. It does work.

Only works for SD /SDHC cards not Duo cards.

QFT - Just verified this fix. My Mini 9 with 9.04 UNR wasn't recognizing my 2GB Dane SD cards (though it did see my 16GB Transcend SDHC class six without the fix). After making the change suggested on filthypants, all is good to go.

Unfortunately this fix did not work for me. I have a 8GB Transcend that works fine by my 2GB Kingston (it works in other devices) is not recognized before or after the fix is implemented. Thanks for the link just the same.

Hi,
the Fix works for me-but now every time after standby i get open window with sd card disk. Can i swith off that window?
