Well I feel pretty annoyed about it, I feel slightly conned out of my money as if I didn't pay it, I would have wasted Â£300 on a laptop (with 2GB RAM upgrade) so I feel I was put on the spot a bit. My guy said they'd charge for P&P back to me as well anyway so it seems like lose/lose.
I'll just be glad in the end to get my laptop back.

Sorry to read about your expensive experience!
So far, mine isn't going so well either. It went from showing an order with the status of "In Production" for the part dated 10/23/2008 with an estimated shipping date of 10/30/2008 and an estimated delivery date of 10/31/2008 to being changed to "Cancelled" on November 5, 2008. No e-mail notice or anything, just cancelled.
I've been on Dell's chat system this morning. I got passed around to different people. They are supposed to send me an e-mail when their system is back up.
At least I can use it with an external monitor, keyboard and mouse. I guess that is something good, at least. Sort of.
