I bought a Transcend 8gb class 6 SDHC card. When I plug it in, it will not show up under my computer. When I open Device Manager, I can see a JMCR SD/MMC SCSI Disk Device over my C:. I downloaded the Dell, R200081 driver set, and the newer Jmicron driver in another post and have tried to install both with no luck. The driver details that always show up is dated 7/1/2001, driver version 5.1.2535.0. I have tried uninstalling and booting into safe mode and reinstalling also with no luck.
I recently ugraded my desktop to Vista 64, and when I plug the card into my card reader, it does not recognize it. I have a different 1gb card, that it will recognize, but the Mini 9 will not recognize it either. Here is the odd thing, I can put the 8gb card in my camera, and it recognizes it, and it will even format it just fine.
Normally, I would chuck it up to a non compatible card, or a bad card, that both computers can not use, but the Mini 9 will not recognize either SD card and that worries me.
Does anyone have any ideas on anything else to try?
I found the problem. I had the cd rom on my desktop mapped as a network drive d:. Once I disconnected the D: drive, it showed right up. I was able to network the D: of my desktop to F: on the Mini 9.
