Default sloooooooow mini 910 help please :) - 04-20-2012, 10:43 AM

hi i just got a used mini 910 of ebay it has a 32gb ssd ive installed 2gb ram and im running xp (fresh install) and ive installed all the drivers

buuuut its running so slow, its nearly unusable, it hangs real bad bettween operations, so ill open chrome for example....massive hang...click to minimize....massive hang......open another prog....massive hang etc

ive tried software that turns off all the non essential functions but no improvement, any ideas?

I have noticed the same on web pages that have intensive graphics. I have not had any slowness otherwise. It will never compare with my Phenom quad core

Consider ditching XP and running ubuntu 10.04 LTS netbook remix. Your mini 9 will run much faster.

If the ssd is a FEM32GFDL from SuperTalent: This tool does some sort of of TRIM (download is on page 2).
