I have a linux mini 9 that I have not been using much. I am considering copying my disabled (power jack needs replaced) mini 9's SSd contents over the linux one's, as an alternative to having the other mini 9 repaired. The disabled mini 9 was running windows XP. Can I just reformat the disk of the linux machine and copy everyone from the windows machine to the other? Or are there BIOS or other install considerations re doing that. I want to avoid having to reinstall everything by doing a copy, rather than doing a fresh reinstall. If I were going to repair the old one and/or reinstall, I would put windows 7 on that one and start fresh, but for now I am just looking for a quick intermin solution.

You would want to do a disk image copy, not a file copy. Other than that it should work fine.
