hey guys, just joined.. been searching the web trying to find a solution to this problem that i can't even figure out what the cause would be... so basically the issue is. the mini will run just fine from the AC adapter or the battery (according to the guy i got it from). since i can't actually seem to get the battery charged i have no idea. but that in itself lays another issue. when i boot the machine with the AC adapter in, everything is fine. if i put the battery in, or try to boot with the battery in. it'll boot to the desktop and stay on i'd say around 45 seconds to 1 minute, then the screen just goes black like its in standby or something. and i've tried pressing everything and it just doesnt come back up. so i have to turn it off and remove the battery. does anyone have an idea what might be causing this? it's using the a04 bios

alright so heres an update on the situation... i finally managed to get the computer to stay running while the battery was in it.... so what happened this time was... i popped the battery in while on the desktop. the screen started flickering a lot, and getting critical battery popup, it's charging and the orange battery light was flashing of fand on until the battery hit about 7% charge. when the screen was flickering i quickly function keyed the screen brightness controls and turned it all the way down, and it seems to have it stable for now. but don't understand why it was shutting off when i installed the battery before, even when it was plugged into the wall

well from what im seeing and what i've researched, it looks like the reason i was having all these issues is from whatever controls the machines switching from ac to battery power? i have the power meter up and just watching it quickly switch between. Batteries, AC Power, Idle, Charging. over and over. so... does anyone have an idea how this is fixed, and the cost? i've tried updating the bios to A05 or A07 just to see if it helped, but the flash utility is giving me an error saying the bios is unflashable. and i'm assuming because it doens't recognize that its actually on AC power.
