Default Won't boot from external CD drive - 01-23-2012, 02:32 PM
I'm going to sell my Mini9 and want to return it to Windows XP. I have an external CD drive with the XP disc in it hooked up via USB. When I start up I hit "0" then select CD/DVD but it still boots into OSX9 (10.5.8). I also tried it by hitting "2" and moving CD/DVD to top of list. Tried each of the USB inputs, using 2 different external CD/DVD units. No matter what I do it always boots into OSX .

It is connected via USB, try that & see if it boots. Plug it into the USB closest to the power plug 1st.

You probably disabled Legacy USB in the BIOS - many who run Mac OS do. Re-enable it.
