My mini appears to be dead... Something is seriously wrong with it. When I start I instantly get

MBR 2FA:

which I understand is BAD.
I tried changing setup to load from USB and load new OS (Xubuntu) but after the last time I started loading Live Session it sort of crashed half way through and now I can not even get it to recognize USB on load.

Any help at this point would be helpful!

that is a Ubuntu error message:

try this:
go into the BIOS and see what it recognizes as the size....if it shows '0'gb....your drive is shot....sorry

or try this also:
1. Boot the mini 9 while pressing ESC every second
2. When you see the "MBR 2FA:" prompt or similar, the boot process is stopped.
3. Press ENTER and ESC very fast one after the other.
4. You should then see the GRUB menu. Using the up and down arrows, highlight the second option and press ENTER to boot into recovery mode.
