I've had my mini 9 for a while now, and it ran perfectly having been hackintoshed.
Then one day it stopped working.... I thought it was the battery, and being skint couldn't afford to replace it. So the machine got slid under a pile of other things to do.
I've just managed to buy a new (OEM) battery, and am most frustrated to find the problem is exactly the same. I have done a search on the forums, but haven't found any symptoms quite like these - can anyone decipher what is going on?
Either battery in place.... plug in charger. Jiggle slightly, and the white light comes on. Ocasionally the red light next to it flashes, but usually not. The machine does not power up at all if the power lead is not plugged in.
Power up - after couple of secs the screen comes up. (I can get into the bios no probs).
Then the Darwin/x86 ASCII screen comes up. If I leave it, the MacOS grey boot screen comes up, and 15 secs later the machine switches off.
If I select the report option at boot, we get as far as:
[HC|Controller][configurePM] power parent ready after 1 tries
AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement : Initialization complete
syncing discs... Killing all processes
Airport: Link Down on
And then the machine switches off.
Any advice from you pros out there? TIA
