Default Bios in the wrong aspect. - 07-10-2011, 07:33 AM

Hi everyone!

I got a faulty mini 9 off eBay and I'm fixing it up.

I've got a question tho, when I boot the laptop it seems to be in the wrong aspect, so the dell logo is towards the bottom on the screen and the bottom green line of the bios is cut off.

Also both xp and osx can't format the ssd, xp says can't access. I know there are posts oh here about that issue but in the bios it shows the correct name and size.

Any ideas what's going on?

Welcome to the forum. I can't recall seeing the BIOS display problem being reported before and can't think of what it might be.

I have seen many reports of SSDs not being writable despite seeing the correct size in the BIOS. This still indicates SSD failure.
