I purchased a SuperTalent 16G SSD
(FEM16GFDL) to put in a Mini 910 for my daughter for Christmas. I loaded Ubuntu Netbook 10.10 and it ran for about a week, then starting giving errors.
I sent it back to SuperTalent and in about 3 weeks, they replaced it. The replacement ran for 3 days and is intermittently having problems.
In both cases, I was able to partition it, but installing any OS (Ubuntu or Windows XP SP3) would fail on the first reboot. Sometimes, there would be nothing on the drive.
I'm waiting for them to give me a RMA for this one. I'll probably sell the replacement and go with another manufacturer. My daughter has had less then 24 hours of run time with her laptop in the 4 months she's had it.
Has anyone else had a similar problem with this brand? They are the most affordable drives out there.
