Hi- I'm new to the Mini 9 and the forums, and have a question that searching has failed to answer... my Mini (UNE 10.04, BIOS A04) doesn't want to stay shut down. When I shut it down it goes down, turns off briefly, and then boots back up. This happens when using the software 'Turn Off' button, when using sudo shutdown -h now, or any other way I've been able to imagine.
It is a newly acquired second hand Mini 9 (1G/4G) with a dead battery, so I've been working on AC. It came with the A05 firmware but I downgraded to A04 to use an after-market battery. Loaded Ubuntu 10.04 Netbook Edition, and first noticed this problem - it doesn't stay shut down... for long. It comes back with a restart on its own.
Same problem happens when starting from disk or from the Live-USB. I also tried xPud and Moblin 2.1 with the same exact results.
Installed the 'factory' Dell Ubuntu 8.01, same problem.
So, it doesn't seem to be OS related, so it must be the BIOS, right? I reverted to A05 - same problem.
