I checked the bios and it sees the SSD
as 15408 Pata, so I'm happy with that.
One down and few others to check.

Further to my last, I ran the Dell utility and it reported that the SSD
The Dell website describes a method for restoring a computer by running c:\windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe, but you need to be able to boot to safe mode to that which I can't.
I'd be happy to do that if there was a way to navigate to the file. The Dell utility has an autoexec.bat that I played with, but the c:\ prompt is the RAM disk it sets up rather than the SSD
. Is there a way that I can boot from USB and navigate to the SSD
location and restore from there?
