Default Problem playing full screen videos on plugged in monitor - 12-31-2008, 12:29 AM

I recently purchased a Dell monitor to go with my Dell Mini 9 laptop. But when i try and play full screen videos, the picture freezes although the sound keeps going. Is this a problem with my video card, my memory, or what?

Here are the specs for my computer:
-- Inspiron Mini 9 --
-- IntelĀ® Atom ProcessorĀ® N270 (1.6GHz/533Mhz FSB/512K cache)
-- [224-0770]

-- Memory --
-- 1GB DDR2 at 533MHz
-- [311-9255]

-- Video Card --
-- Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 950
-- [320-7124]

-- Hard Drive --
-- 16GB Solid State Drive
-- [341-7610]

No - the video functions are integrated into the chipset. There is no "card".

What kind of videos? Streaming or local? File or disc based? What player(s)? What codec(s)?

At what resolution and color depth are you running your monitor? Your choices may be a bit much for the integrated graphics.

Download the patch of Codecs (I Recomend K-lite Mega codec) search on google for it, and play the video on Classic Media Player to test;

Go to this site and verify if you have the Chipset newer version, if you don,t download it:

IntelĀ® Driver Update Utility

good luck!

Also, switch the display so that it's only showing on the external display, not both.
