Question High CPU in Live Messenger (Win 7) - 02-17-2010, 04:18 PM

Hi, I've had a search around, but couldn't find an answer to my problem :

I am on a clean install of Windows 7 having followed the guide from this forum. I am running the current Live Messenger.

I just tried my first video call in MSN and the results were disappointing. I could see and hear myself and the other party for the first few seconds, but then the framerate dropped to a frame every few seconds, the audio broke up and I checked the CPU and it was at 100% thanks to messenger.

I'm assuming this isn't normal?

Any advice or performance tips that might help?
