Typically there has to be a certain amount of dead/stuck pixels all within the same quadrant, or directly next to each other before they will fix it. Many Manf.'s use 3 as the acceptable amount.
People do make applications that switch colors very fast for periods of time, that can unstick pixels. It usually doesn't work though. An example is an app like http://www.jscreenfix.com/basic.php.

I've actually had good luck with color cycling screens to fix dead pixels, fixed two screens over the last couple years. I however used the ones that cycle the whole screen quickly one color at a time. JScreenFix I've seen before but never used, it probably works just as well.
Oh and those who try this, let it run for as long as possible, lots of people report min of 30 minutes and upwards of 3+ hours if the screen color cycle fix is the fix.
