Firstly let me thank who ever had the idea to stick the Runcore onto a MAC via USB, I am now copying everything off and never expected to see the data again.

Now let me talk about Runcore and Mydigitaldiscount.

Runcore is unreliable, the 32 gig drive crashed 3 times in my Mini, I finally end up with a supposedly dead hard drive.

Mydigitaldiscount were totally none responsive, I spent $98 dollars for a piece of junk.
I subsequently ended up using a Super Talent 16 gig and then 32 gig. They are have never let me down.

I have been driven to also using 16 gig SD card to store my sensitive data which is backed up by USB to a Mypassport.

Runcore nearly drove me away from my beloved Mini 9. SUPER TALENT is the safe option for your data.

PS Always back your data up unless you have spare MAC Pro that can read dead Runcores. (JUNK COMPANY)

To say I am not just a little furious is a minor description. But its time people woke up to the constant troubles about Runcores and just stopped buying them !!

PS If anyone knows how to delete a bad sector which has locked my runcore I would be grateful as I would love to use it to back up my SUPERTALENT!!

My 16 GB Runcore failed around the middle of Oct 2010 and the replacement from mydigitaldiscount came Dec. 17, 2010. I haven't reinstalled it yet because I have not decided what OS to use.

The issue you should concern yourself with is what if this one fails. I had my one for 1/2 year and it went, then I reloaded a backed up image and it worked then it died again and it never recovered. Intestingly I could see everything on a MAC and I was able to get the important material off. But the Runcore was then striped but still will not reformat. Where as my Stec, Supertalents all run perfectly. Runcore is very unreliable trust me
