Help Wanted: How to Recover from Failed BIOS Flash Mini-9 - 10-23-2009, 10:45 PM
I'm hoping that you folks can help me from a bit of a problem that I'm in.
I flashed my Dell Mini-9 BIOS earlier, I normally flash from DOS but for some reason being lazy I used the windows version.
Ultimately the Mini-9 Locked up and now it wont start.
I have read numerous threads of being able to get the BIOS reflashed from a USB Floppy Disk, and Some mention a USB Flash Key. Since I don't have a USB floppy drive, then could someone please offer me a way of being able to reflash the BIOS from a USB Flash Key (pen drive)
I have seen a few methods, but ultimately I dont seem to have been able to get the methods to work.
A simple step by step method would help, I have downloaded a few things such as the flash file from the Sticky in the board.
Any help very much appreciated.

Are the detailed instructions in the sticky thread Dell I910 Mini/Vostro A90 USB Key Drive flashBIOS Utility not clear enough for you?

The section at the bottom mentions doing it from a USB floppy disk drive which I didn't have at the time, but I had loads of Memory sticks, the question that I was asking was can I use a flash stick to recover the bios
I bought a Floppy drive this morning and used that - and its back running, thanks for your help.
