I have the same issue. I just got my second Mini 9 (for my Wife, not me, though I would love two of my own, they rock). It’s the XP flavour, with a Vodaphone mobile broadband card. But the problem is windows won’t accept the existence of the wifi card that is installed into the machine, I looked. My Mini 9 is the Ubuntu flavour, running Windows 7 dual boot. Both OS’s see my wifi card.
So why wont my wife’s Mini 9 see the wifi card? Does the fact it was a mobile broadband card disable wifi?

I've solved my problem, turns out the hardware, or at least the drivers, are different. i was using My (Ubuntu flavour) dell mini 9's driver cd, when i needed to use the XP flavour mini 9 drivers. and there i was thinking the hardware and drivers were identical. So i have both versions of all drivers, if anyone wants some, just ask.
