Nice, my FIFTH Pro IV drive should arrive this week. The previous FOUR all DIED when placed in the latest Dell mini9.
So to recap, I have FOUR dell mini 9s. Three are 3 months or older and work fine. One arrived 1 month ago and has successfully killed every Pro IV 32gb "T" style SSD
I've put in it. Old style 16gb and 32gb drives work fine. OEM STEC drives work fine. ALL FOUR RunCore ProIV SSD
drives WORKED fine in the older mini9s. Put them in the old mini9, boot to BIOS and it reports 32gb. Install OSX, and it boots. Take the working drive out of the old mini9, install in the new mini9, boot to BIOS and it shows as a 25gb drive . Return to old mini9 and bios confirms 25gb drive. Return to new mini9, boot to bios, it now shows 0MB drive. Return to old mini9, it also now shows 0MB drive. Drive is now DEAD. Reports at 2.2TB like previous poster if you go the USB route.
Folks, there is something wrong with installing the new runcore ProIV "T" drive in the newest mini9s machines. I'll be killing my fifth drive later this week, I'm certain. RunCore says nothing. MDD has been nothing be helpful so far. I've explained this at length to MDD on the phone. They reported they were talking with RunCore.
One of my drives wasn't from MDD. It was killed too.
Same specs as previous poster.
