Hello forum.

This is my first post to this forum. am sorry if this question has been asked before and answered.

I had problems reinstalling winxp onto my mini 9 via external usb cdrom drive.
i had searched this forum and tried to fix the problem but in the end i sent it back to Dell..

i had recieved my mini 9 back from them. Fresh install of winxp with additional software (vodafone mobile connect). this is new as when i bought it, my system didnt have a built in wwan.

anyways. when reinstalling all my software back on. i realised that half my hard drive wasnt showing up. it only shows me capacity 7.11gb BUT device manager shows me i have 'stec pata 16gb'

have the partioned it wrong? how can i retrieve my whole hard drive back?

i dont want to re install and re partiton my drive again fearing that i'll end having to send it back to dell...

is there any way to retrueve it all back without a format?

Check Disk Management. It'll show you how your disk is partitioned.

I'm not sure if the XP version can grow partitions, so you 'll probably need to use different software to grow the partition to fill the drive.
