I'm running ubuntu with an encrypted lvm setup.
What happens is that it boots up, gets past the bios screen, starts loading GRUB, and then just before asking for my crypto password it reboots.
It sometimes just reboots once, sometimes it reboots several times and then boots fine, sometimes it gets suck in a reboot loop forever.
This only happens once every couple days, so I can't really demonstrate it to Dell tech support.
I have ran badblocks many times, fsck, the Dell system diagonstics -- all came up clean.
I have re-seated the SSD
, and that's not fixed the problem -- also the problem is occuring much more frequently now. I'm using stock SSD
, was about to purchase a runcore but then this started happening. I would be happy to purchase a new SSD
if I could know for sure that would fix the problem.
